Electronic Editing System (TEES) |
TEES has been developed in-house by Thomson Digital for structuring/copy-editing
author input files up to SGML/XML generation. TEES automates
and structures XML production processes.
It simplifies cleanup and allows the user to standardize editorial
style and edit content with ease. The structured document can
be exported to SGML/XML for importing into the typesetting system
or for electronic publishing.
TEES can be customized to publisher requirements and DTD specifications.
The tool also supports direct interface with database for metadata
insertion, and also supports heavy math encoding.
Future versions of TEES would include auto-editing, integrating
a parser for validating the generated SGML/XML files against
customer's DTD.
